Auto Mechanics provides students with a foundation of skills and knowledge related to the service and
repair of vehicles and power equipment. Students receive instruction in the maintenance and service of
automobiles. Units of instruction in the first year include safety, tool and equipment usage, measurement,
basic vehicle service, and brake and electrical system service.
The second-year course includes gasoline and diesel engine performance, drive trains, steering and
suspension systems, air conditioning and heating, and hydraulic service.
